The BB 15000 is a French electric locomotive class designed for operation on the SNCF's AC electrified network. Delivered between 1971 and 1978, these locomotives have spent their entire careers primarily in passenger service. Over the years, they have hauled everything from prestigious TEE and IC trains to regional passenger services. Despite their age, a number of locomotives remain in active service. As of November 2025, 10 BB 15000 locomotives were still in regular operation.
