H0 4-Car Set of ÖBB NJ Night Train Cars, NJ408, Set I

Nightjet 408, operating between Leipzig and Zurich, is one of the most interesting overnight trains currently running in Europe. The train is unique not only because it consists of coaches from four different railway operators - ÖBB, SBB, ČD, and RDC - but also because it is formed by combining two separate train sections in Leipzig. The first section, hauled by a Class 101 electric locomotive, arrives from Berlin as IC 60409 and consists of ÖBB and SBB coaches. Almost simultaneously, the second section arrives from Prague as EC 459, hauled by a Class 193 locomotive and made up of RDC and ČD coaches. In Leipzig, the EuroCity portion is split, and the sleeper and couchette cars are shunted onto the waiting ÖBB/SBB consist. At 11:46 PM, the completed Nightjet 408 departs Leipzig for Zurich.
